Adding Tax Authorities

For each tax authority to which you remit taxes, you create a record with details about the tax authority.

To add or edit a tax authority:

  1. Open  Tax Services > Tax Setup > Tax Authorities.
  2. In the Tax Authority field, specify an existing code, or enter a code of up to 12 characters.
  3. In the Tax Authority Description field, enter a description if it is a new authority.
  4. Specify details for the tax authority on the Profile tab. More...

    1. Select a tax reporting currency.
    2. Enter an amount in the Maximum Tax Allowable field.
    3. Enter an amount in the No Tax Charged Below field.
    4. Select a tax base.
    5. Select a report level.
    6. Select the Allow Tax in Price option, if required.
  5. On the Accounts tab, use the fields to specify accounts.
  6. Click Save.
