- Open an email from a Sage 300 customer's contact email.
- Create a new email to a Sage 300 customer's contact email.

button.
The Sage Contact pane appears. If the email address is specified as the contact email for a Sage 300 customer, that customer's information is displayed. If the email address is not specified as the contact email for a Sage 300 customer, you can assign the email address to a Sage 300 customer, as described below.
To assign an email address to a Sage 300 customer in Outlook:
- Do one of the following:
- Open an email from an email address that is not specified as the contact email for any Sage 300 customer.
- Create a new email to an email address that is not specified as the contact email for any Sage 300 customer.
- Click the Sage Contact
button.
The Sage Contact pane appears.
- Specify a Sage 300 customer by entering information in the following fields:
- Company. If you have more than one Sage 300 company synced with Microsoft 365, specify a company.
- Customer. Specify a Sage 300 customer. The drop-down list in this field displays the customer name followed by the customer number.
- Contact code. If you use the Multiple Contacts (M/T) program, specify a unique code for the new contact.
- Contact name. Specify a contact name. By default, this field displays a name based on the email address.
Important! If you do not use the Multiple Contacts (M/T) program, the name in this field is entered in Sage 300 as the contact name for the customer. If there is already a contact name specified in Sage 300, it is overwritten.
- Click Link Contact.
The email address is entered for the customer in Sage 300 and the customer's information is displayed in Sage Contact. The way the email address is entered for the customer in Sage 300 depends on whether you use the Multiple Contacts (M/T) program:
- You do not use Multiple Contacts. The email address is entered as the contact email for the customer.
- You use Multiple Contacts. A new contact is created using the information you entered, and this contact is assigned to the customer.
To change a Sage 300 customer's contact information in Outlook:
Note: You cannot change information for contacts created in the Multiple Contacts (M/T) program. You can change these contacts only in Sage 300.

- Click Edit next to any field.
- Update the customer's contact information as needed.

The contact's information is updated in Sage 300.
Important! The new contact information is entered in Sage 300 for the customer, and overwrites existing contact information.
