Setting Up Users for Microsoft 365
Enabling people to use Sage 300 apps for Microsoft 365 involves creating Microsoft 365 user accounts, setting up those accounts, and mapping those accounts to Sage 300 users.

Set up Microsoft 365 Integration. For more information, see Setting Up Microsoft 365 Integration.
To set up a user for Microsoft 365:
- Add a Microsoft 365 user account. For more information, see Add users and assign licenses at the same time in the Microsoft 365 admin center help.
When entering the user's information, be sure to select a supported Microsoft 365 license and a supported Azure Active Directory license in the Product licenses section. Otherwise, the user cannot use Sage 300 apps. If you don't yet have all of the required licenses, you can add the user and select the licenses later.
Note: You can add Microsoft 365 users before setting up the integration between Microsoft 365 and Sage 300.
-
Set up the Microsoft 365 user account to have access to Sage 300 apps:
- Sign in to the Sage Business Center.
- On the Manage Users tab, which lists users who are in your Microsoft 365 organization, click the Edit link next to a user's email address.
- Select each app to which you're giving the user access (for example, Sage Contact).
- Click Save.
-
Map the Microsoft 365 user account to a Sage 300 user:
- In Sage 300, open Administrative Services > Users.
- In the User ID field, enter the ID for the Sage 300 user you want to map to the new Microsoft 365 user account.
- In the E-mail Account field (in the Microsoft Office 365 Integration section), enter the email address for the new Microsoft 365 user account.
- Click Save.
The user can now view and edit Sage 300 information in Sage 300 apps for Microsoft 365, consistent with their Sage 300 security authorizations.
For example, if the user has security authorization in Sage 300 to view customer information but not modify it, the user will be able to view customer information in Sage Contact but not edit the contact information.

You can view and manage customer information in Outlook. For more information, see Viewing Sage 300 Customer Information in Outlook.
