Using the Certified Payroll Report

Note: To use this report, you must have both Government Reporting and SSN or SIN Number Maintenance security authorizations. For more information, see About Payroll Security Groups.

This report is available in the Payroll Government Reports folder only if you use Sage 300 Project and Job Costing.

If you choose to use the U.S. Department of Labor Form WH-347 for contractors and sub-contractors, the Certified Payroll report provides most of the information that you need to complete that form. The Certified Payroll report does not print the form itself.

Information on the report

For each employee listed, the report shows the information that reflects the columns on Form WH-347, such as:

  • Employee's name, address and social security number.
  • Employee's number of withholding exemptions.
  • Employee's work classification.
  • For each work day of the week you choose, the hours worked (regular time hours and overtime hours) for the project.
  • The total hours worked for the week.
  • The rate of pay, including fringe benefits.
  • Gross amount earned for the job, and the total gross amount of the paycheck.
  • Net pay for the week.

For more details about this information, you can refer to the U.S. Department of Labor's instructions for completing Form WH-347.

Note: On the timecard , you must have assigned a work classification code to a job-related earning/deduction detail line, in order for that job transaction to display on the Certified Payroll report.
