O/E Serial/Lot Numbers Screen

  1. Open Order Entry > O/E Statistics and Inquiries > Sales History.
  2. Specify criteria, and then click the Go Go button button to view results.
  3. In the table, click a detail line to select it, and then click the Details button to open the O/E Sales History Detail screen.
  4. Select a detail line for a serialized or lotted item, and then click Serial/Lot Numbers.

Displays the number and name of the customer associated with the transaction and item for which the serial and lot numbers were allocated.

Displays the document number of the transaction for which the serial and lot numbers were allocated

Displays the number and description of the item for which the serial and lot numbers were allocated.

Displays the type of transaction for which the serial and lot numbers were allocated.

Click this tab to view information about lot numbers allocated for the selected item and document.

Displays lot numbers allocated for the selected item and document.

Displays the quantity of the selected item included in the lot.

Displays the unit of measure (such as DOZEN, BOX, or EACH) for an item.

The unit of measure determines how many lot numbers are required, allocated, shipped, and remaining.

Example: If the detail line specifies 2 as the order quantity, but the unit of measure is DOZEN and you have lots with available quantities of 6 EACH, when you allocate lot numbers on the O/E Serial/Lot Numbers Allocation screen, 0.5 dozen is allocated for 4 lots.

Overview

Use the O/E Serial/Lot Numbers screen to view serial and lot numbers allocated to a serialized or lotted item.

Serial Numbers

Serial numbers are used to track individual items. Each serial number must be unique to one specific item.

Example: An electronics retailer can use serial numbers to record sales of items that have warranties.

Lot Numbers

Lot numbers are used to track groups of items. Unlike serial numbers, a lot number can be allocated to multiple items.

Example: A food distribution company can use lot numbers to record purchases and sales of unique batches of product.
