Common Services Security Authorizations
Administration security authorizations are categorized as follows:
- Administrative Services security authorizations cover data maintenance, currency options, and maintenance authorization for user groups and security features.
- Common Services security authorizations cover maintaining company information, the fiscal calendar, and optional fields.
If security is turned on for your Sage 300 system, the system administrator must assign users security authorization for Common Services screens.
The system administrator may grant a security group access to the following Common Services tasks:
Security Authorization | Description |

Maintain Company Information |
Allows you to edit the company profile. If access is denied, you can view but not edit the profile. |
Maintain Fiscal Calendar |
Allows you to edit the fiscal calendar. If access is denied, you can view but not edit the calendar. |
Maintain Optional Fields |
Allows you to add optional fields. If access is denied, you can view but not edit the fields. |
Import Common Services Data |
Allows you to import data if you are also allowed to maintain the data. |
Export Common Services Data |
Allows you to export data if you are also allowed to maintain the data. |
Common Inquiry |
This authorization is required for access to all other tasks. If this is the only authorization you have, you cannot edit fields or save data. |
Maintain Schedules |
Allows you to create and delete schedules for recurring transactions, and to process those schedules that appear in the Reminder List. without this authorization, you cannot process recurring transactions. |
Sage 300 Web API |
Use the Sage 300 Web API to process GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE requests. Note: You must also have authorization to view and/or modify any records or transactions for which API requests will be processed. |
