Creating Schedules for Recurring Transactions
Use the Schedules screen to create schedules for recurring transactions that you process in General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable.
- The Reminder List screen is associated with the scheduling feature. If you set up a schedule to remind a user, recurring transactions that use the schedule appear automatically on the user's reminder list when they are due. For more information, see Reminder List Screen.
- Generally, you create schedules before you create recurring transactions. However, you can create new schedules when creating recurring transactions in subledgers.
To create a schedule for recurring transactions:
- Common Services > Scheduling > Schedules.
- Enter a schedule code and a description for the schedule.
Tip: To avoid confusion between similar schedules, give each schedule a clear and distinctive code and description that reflects how it is applied.
- In the User Mode field, specify the user or users who get reminded to process the schedule.
- Select the recurring period and the frequency of processing within that period.
- Click Add.
Create recurring transactions in your subledgers, and then assign them to schedules. For more information about creating recurring transactions, see the help for the subledger in which you want to create the recurring transaction.
