I/C Serial Registration Screen


This field displays the code for the customer who bought the item for which you are registering the serial number.

In this field, specify the document that assigned the serial number.
Tip: If you use the Finder to select the document, you select the item number and serial number at the same time.

In this field, specify the type of document that assigned the serial number.

In this field, you can specify the item to which the serial number was assigned. (If you used the Finder to specify the document number, you do not need to enter the item number.)
Note: You must enter an item number that was included in the specified document.

Overview
Use the I/C Serial Registration screen to register serial numbers for items that you sell.
You can register serial numbers for warranty management purposes when you sell serialized inventory items, or when you receive completed registration forms from your customers.
The inventory item record for each serialized item specifies the type of warranty, and whether to place the item on warranty when it is sold or when it is registered.
Note: You can register warranties only for serialized items.
