Open Order Entry > O/E Statistics and Inquiries > Sales History.

Buttons

Clear

Click Clear to restore the default filter criteria for this screen.

Details

Click Details to open the O/E Sales History Detail screen, which displays additional information about the selected customer or item. For more information, see O/E Sales History Detail Screen.

Apply

Click the Apply button to view sales history for the item or customer in the range of years and periods that you specify.

Customer Number

This field becomes available if you selected Customer Number from the Select By list.

Use this field to specify the customer number from which to fill the sales history detail table.

Item Number

This field becomes available if you selected Item Number from the Select By list.

Use this field to specify the item number from which to fill the sales history detail table.

Period (From / To)

Specify a range periods for which to view sales history.

Note: You specify on the Processing tab of the O/E Options screen whether to accumulate sales history and statistics by calendar year or fiscal year, and the period type to use.

Select By

Specify whether to view sales history by customer number or by item number.

Year (From / To)

Specify a range of years for which to view sales history.

Note: You specify on the Processing tab of the O/E Options screen whether to accumulate sales history and statistics by calendar year or fiscal year, and the period type to use.

Sales History table

The table displays information about sales history for the item or customer you selected.

To view additional information about the selected customer or item, click the Details to open the O/E Sales History Detail screen. For more information, see O/E Sales History Detail Screen

Cost of Sales

Displays the original item purchase cost.

Note:

You need Cost Inquiry authorization for Inventory Control to view this field.

Customer Name

If you are viewing sales history for an item, this field displays the names of customers who have purchased the item.

Customer Number

If you are viewing sales history for an item, this field displays the customer numbers of customers who have purchased the item.

Item Description

If you are viewing sales history for a customer, this field displays a description of the item purchased by the customer.

Item Number

If you are viewing sales history for a customer, this field displays item numbers for items purchased by the customer.

Margin Percent

Displays the profit margin on sales of the item for the selected the year and period.

Period

Displays the period in which customers purchased items from your company.

Quantity Sold

Displays the quantity sold in each transaction.

Return Amount

Displays the total amount (excluding taxes and miscellaneous charges) of returns posted for the customer or item in the specified range of years and periods.

Returns Count

Displays the total number of returns posted for the customer or item in the specified range of years and periods.

Sales Amount

Displays the total amount (excluding taxes and miscellaneous charges) of invoices posted for the customer or item in the specified range of years and periods.

Sales Count

Displays the total number of invoices posted for the customer or item in the specified range of years and periods.

Year

Displays the year in which customers purchased items from your company.

Overview

If you keep sales history for Order Entry, you can use the O/E Sales History screen to:

Review all sales and returns of items for the years and periods for which you keep history.

Note: You specify on the Processing tab of the O/E Options screen whether to accumulate sales history and statistics by calendar year or fiscal year, and the period type to use.
Open the O/E Sales History Detail screen, where you can drill down to source documents and view additional information.

Tip: On transaction entry screens, you can click the History button to view sales history for a selected item or customer.
