Enter a code to identify the location. The code can include letters and numbers, but no spaces. It cannot exceed 6 characters.
Enter the name of this location.
Enter the location's street address. You can use from one to four lines.
Enter the name of the city where the inventory location is found.
Enter the name of the country for the location.
Enter the email address for the location.
Enter the fax number for the location.
Select this option if you do not want to assign this location to any inventory items. Although you are still allowed to add items to an inactive location, you cannot post transactions for items in the inactive location.
Normally, you use this option when you decide to delete a location and want to ensure that no additional inventory items are assigned to it.
You can change the option from inactive to active at any time.
Displays the date the last change was made to the location code.
Choose whether this is a physical or logical inventory location. (A logical location cannot receive or ship goods. It can only be used as a goods-in-transit location.)
Enter the telephone number for the location.
Enter the abbreviation of the state or province for the location.
Enter the location's zip code or postal code.
This tab only appears when the Allow Items At All Locations option is not selected on the Processing tab of the I/C Options screen.
Select this option to specify that all the items in the table on this tab can be used in transactions at this location.
You must assign an item to a location before you can:
An item can be assigned to more than one location.
Click this button to update the table to only show the items within the range specified by From and To.
Depending on the criteria you selected for Select By, enter (or click and select) the beginning of the range and end of the criteria to use for assigning items to this location.
Select the criteria to use for selecting items at this location:
You then specify the range of that criteria for From and To.
This table displays the items at this location. The items meet the criteria selected in the upper part of the tab.
Select Yes or No in this column to specify whether or not the item is allowed to be used in transactions at this location.
Displays the description of the item.
Displays the item number.
Select this option to replace (override) segments in general ledger accounts when you generate Inventory Control transactions involving items stocked at this location.
If the Override G/L Account Segments option is selected, the table on this tab shows the account segments that you want to replace in the general ledger account references when you post transactions for items at this location.
If you want to add an account segment, click Add Line to add a line to the table.
Enter the general ledger segment code (or click and select a code) to use for the general ledger account segment.
Select the general ledger segment that you want to replace in the general ledger account references when you post transactions for items at this location.
You use the I/C Locations screen to:
Use this tab to enter the name, address, phone number, and fax number of the location. You can set the status of the location to inactive.
You also use this tab to specify whether an inventory site is a physical or logical location. (A logical location cannot receive or ship goods. It can only be used as a goods-in-transit location.)
Use this tab to specify the name, phone number, fax number, and email address of the main contact person at this location.
Use this tab to specify whether to replace (override) segments in general ledger accounts when you generate Inventory Control transactions involving items stocked at this location.
