Verify Database

Use this dialog box to check the integrity of your data dictionaries. Typically you do this when you have problems accessing data, or after you have added any third-party applications that change your databases.

When you verify a database, Sage 300 makes sure your data is consistent with your data dictionary information. This check does not replace the integrity check of your accounting data that you perform regularly.

To verify databases:

  1. Click Verify in the Database Setup dialog box.
  2. Select the databases to be checked.
    • Double-click, or click Include or Exclude to move one name at a time, or
    • Click All or None to move all names at once.
  3. To select a file to print the results of the integrity check to, click Options.
  4. To start the integrity check, click Verify.
    • If a message says that the log file already exists, click Yes to write over the contents of the file.
    • The error log is displayed, whether or not you selected a log file.
  5. Click Cancel to return to Database Setup.
