Setting Up Web Access

You must run the Web Deployment Configuration Wizard to allow users to open the Sage 300 desktop from their Web browsers.

To set up Web access:

  1. Choose Sage 300 Web Deployment Manager from the Windows Start menu.

    This menu item appears only if the option "Web Setup Files" was chosen in the Install Features screen during System Manager installation. The Web Setup Files option appears only when System Manager is installed on a Windows 2003 (or later) server.

  2. After reading the information on the Welcome screen, click Next.
  3. Select a remoting channel on the Step 1 tab, then click Next.

    注释:If you selected DCOM as your remoting channel, you move directly to the Step 4 tab to configure component services. If you did not select DCOM, you enter information at the Step 2 and Step 3 tabs.

  4. Configure .NET Remoting Parameters on the Step 2 tab, then click Next.
  5. Configure .NET Desktop Parameters on the Step 3 tab, then click Next.
  6. Configure Component Services on the Step 4 tab, then click Next.
  7. Configure Internet Information Server (IIS) on the Step 5 tab, then click Next.
  8. Read the summary on the Summary tab, then click Next to move to the Done tab.
  9. After reading the information on the Done tab, click OK to exit from the Web Deployment Configuration Wizard.

To configure different settings for the server components in the future, run the Wizard again by choosing the Configure menu option in the Sage 300 Web Deployment Configuration Manager.
