Configure .NET Remoting Parameters

In this step of the Web Deployment Manager Configuration Wizard, you reserve a range of ports, select enhanced security and select whether to encrypt network data.

1. Specify the following .NET Remoting parameters:
   • Port Range: [ ] to [ ]
     • If deployed through a firewall, the range of ports must be "opened" on the firewall.
     • Reserving a range of ports allows Web-deployed Sage 300 applications to communicate with the server.
   • Enhanced Security
     • Recommended if the Sage 300 server is deployed over the Internet.
     • Enhanced security provides an extra layer of protection by requiring Sage 300 Web desktop users to go through a Windows signon in addition to the Sage 300 signon.
   • Encrypt Network Data
     • Recommended for servers deployed over the Internet.
     • If Sage 300 is deployed over an intranet, you have the option to disable encryption.

     注释：User names and passwords are always encrypted.

2. Click Next to move to the Step 3 tab, where you configure .NET desktop parameters.
