Upload Employee Tax Documents

Uploading employee tax documents can be executed through the Publish Government Reports screen in Sage HR Integration.

This allows you to publish tax documents like T4 or RL-1 to Sage HR for each employee synced with Sage HR.

Note: This feature is only supported in companies with Canadian Payroll and Sage HR Integration.

To publish employee tax documents.

  1. Enter a payment year.
  2. The current year is automatically displayed. Change this to the appropriate year of the tax document you wish to publish.

  3. Select one of the following Canadian Tax forms in the Report Type drop down menu: T4, and RL-1.
  4. Selecting a report type will automatically search for employees where the selected tax form applies.

  5. Select Show Published Reports to display all employees whose tax reports are in “Published” or “Publishing” statuses.
    • Deselecting Show Published Reports will display employees whose tax forms are in the “Not Published” status.
    • Click Select/Deselect All to either select or deselect all employees in the list.
  6. Click Publish Selected Reports to start publishing the forms.
    • This will generate an encrypted version of the tax report for each selected employee.
    • The files will then be published to Sage HR for employees to view.
  7. Note:

    • The publishing process may take some time to complete depending on the number of selected employee tax forms for uploading to Sage HR. Use the Show Published Reports button to refresh the list with the updated status.
    • Tax documents can also be replaced and published with updated values. Simply reselect a previously published document and publish the report.
  8. The published tax forms will be located in the Pay Statements and Tax Documents page of each employee in Sage HR.
