Displays the description of the inventory item.
Enter the inventory item number to have manufacturers' item numbers, or click the Finder button and select the inventory item.
After you specify the item number, this table displays information about the associated manufacturers' item numbers. If you want to add another manufacturer's item number, click Add Line to add a line to the table.
Enter a comment to describe how this item number is used. (Optional)
Enter a description of the item number. For example, "UPC - Classic Desk Lamp" or "Bar Code - Accessories."
Enter the manufacturer's item number, such as the UPC code or ISBN number. The number cannot be more than 24 alphanumeric characters and must be unique.
Enter the unit of measure (UOM) to associate with the manufacturer's item number or click the Finder button and select the UOM. The UOM can be any of the units of measure defined for the inventory item.
Overview
Use the I/C Manufacturers' Items screen to associate additional numbers with your inventory items. You can:
- Simplify data entry by creating a set of shortcut item numbers for your most popular items.
- Enter manufacturers' bar
codes, UPC codes, and ISBN numbers that can be used when entering transactions in Inventory Control,
Order Entry, or Purchase Orders.
Manufacturers' item numbers are automatically translated to your inventory item numbers during data entry .
Note: Each manufacturer's item number is associated with a unit of measure, so you can assign different numbers for single items, a box, or a pallet.
You can add as many manufacturers' item numbers as you need for each item number.
