About Assigning Categories and Resources to a Project

Once you have added a project to a contract, you can assign cost categories and, for projects using the standard style, the specific resources that you will use to complete the project.

  • On a basic project, you assign categories directly to a project, and then add estimates for each category using the Category Maintenance screen.
  • On a standard project, you assign categories and resources to each project, then add estimates by cost category to each resource you plan to use.

Note: You can assign only categories and resource that you previously set up using the Categories screen and the individual resource setup screens in the PJC Setup folder.
