Using the Jobs report

This report is available only if you use Sage 300 Project and Job Costing.

Print the Jobs report to show posted job information, in detailed or summary format.  

Information on the report

Detail lines on the report include:

  • The employee number and name.
  • The contract, project, and category.
  • The earnings pertaining to the job, and the regular, overtime and shift hours that were recorded for each earning, and the amount.
  • If you choose to include billing information, and if you have the proper security access to view billing information, the report shows the billing type, currency, and amount.
  • Subtotals (hours, amount) for each grouping of the primary sort criteria, and totals for the report.

To print the report

  1. From the Payroll Transaction Reports folder, select Jobs.
  2. In the Report Format field, select whether to print a detailed report or summary.
  3. If you want to use an employee selection list to choose employees, enter it in the Selection List field.
  4. Enter a range of employees to be selected for the report (in addition to or instead of a selection list).
  5. You can further narrow your selection by entering ranges in the (From and To) fields for each of the following:
    1. Date
    2. Project
    3. Contract
    4. Category
  6. If you have chosen to print the detailed format:
    1. Specify how to sort the report (by Contract, Employee Number, or Employee Name).
    2. Specify how to further sort the report within your chosen sort method.
    3. Choose whether to show billing information on the report. (Note: This option is enabled only if you have the proper security access to view billing information.) 
  7. Click Print.
  8. When finished, choose Close.
