About Importing Timecards

Sage 300 Payroll's importing function lets you import files containing timecard data into Payroll. You can, for example:

• Import timecards created by other Sage applications.
• Import timecards created by non-Sage 300 Payroll applications.

Sage Application Timecards

You can use import to transfer Sage timecards that are created in another location for payroll processing in a central location.

Timecards for import can be generated off-site by using the Timecards window at the remote site to create the timecards. Then use the Export command on the remote Timecards File menu to export a file that can be imported by your central Payroll.

Sage 300 Payroll Timecards

Timecard data created by non-Sage applications can be imported into Sage 300 Payroll. You can edit the data, print it for verification, and use it to calculate payroll.
