Creating Custom Visual Process Flows
You can create your own custom process flows based on your organization's specific processes or workflows.
To create a custom process flow, you open an existing process flow in the Visual Process Flow Designer, and then customize the process flow as needed.
- Make sure the Assign Visual Process Flows screen is not open. If it is, you cannot customize process flows.
To create a custom visual process flow:
- On the desktop, open Visual Process Flows.
- Right-click a process flow to use as a starting point for the new custom process flow, and then click Edit on the menu that appears.
The Visual Process Flow Designer appears, and displays the process flow you selected.
Note: If the Assign Visual Process Flows screen is open, you cannot use the Visual Process Flow Designer.
- In the Title field at the top of the screen, specify a title for your custom process flow. Users who are assigned the process flow see it on the desktop with this title.
Note: If you do not change the title, when you save your custom process flow, the file name you specify will be automatically assigned as the title of the process flow.
- Click Save As, and then specify a file name for your new custom process flow.
Save your custom process flow in the ProcessFlow folder located in the Sage 300 shared data folder (typically C:\Sage\Sage300\SharedData\ProcessFlow\ENG). If you save your custom process flow to another location, it may not appear on the Assign Visual Process Flows screen, meaning you will not be able to assign it to users.
- Customize the process flow. More...
- Click Save.
- To verify that all links work correctly (for example, that they open the correct screens), open the process flow and click each linked item.
- Assign the process flow to users. For more information, see Assigning Visual Process Flows to Users.
