Printing the W-2 Tax Filing Report

Information on the report

To print the report

  1. From Government Reports, select W-2 Tax Filing.
  2. Enter the payment year for which to print Forms W-2.
  3. Choose the Form style to print Forms W-2.
  4. Note: Sage Payroll Tax Forms and eFiling by Aatrix service limits printing the forms to Laser W-2 4-Up Blank with backer on all 4 panels. When printing W-2s to distribute to your employees, use the form style W-2 Laser from the Form drop-down menu.

  5. In the From and To Employee fields, enter the range of employees on which to base the report, or choose a selection list of employees to include.
  6. Choose to sort the Forms W-2 by social security number, employee number, employee name, or class.

    Tip: You can sort employees by status (active or terminated) on Aatrix W-2 Processing windows if you select the Sort by Active Employees option.

  7. Enter the employer name, address, and EIN (Employer Identification Number).
  8. Click Print/eFile to launch the Sage Payroll Tax Forms and eFiling by Aatrix forms wizard. Launching the wizard does not commit you to electronic filing with the Sage Payroll Tax Forms and eFiling by Aatrix service.
  9. A window opens to step you through verifying your employees' information and printing or eFile your forms.
  10. When finished, click Close.

To review historical forms

Click on the History button, and a Sage Payroll Tax Forms and eFiling by Aatrix window opens with forms you have completed in the past with the service.
