Using the State Tax Filing Reports
You can use this window to fill out state forms for the purpose of printing or eFiling.
Before you start
- Before approving these state forms for submission to the government, be sure you have processed and posted all payroll for the quarter.
- Ensure that all default company information (such as tax IDs) are listed in the Payroll Setup Options window.
- If an employee resides in a foreign country, you must enter the full name of the country in the Country field of the Payroll Employees window.
To print the report
- From Government Reports, select State Tax Filing.
- Select the state that you want to file a tax form from the state drop-down list.
- Click on the tax form you want to report in the box beneath the state drop-down list.
- Optionally, specify a selection list in the Selection List field.
If you do not specify a selection list, reports include all employees. If you specify a selection list, reports include only employees in the selection list.
- Select the quarter or date range of the form in the Period field.
- Enter the year of the tax form you want to file in the Year field.
- Click the Sage Payroll Tax Forms and eFiling by Aatrix report form window where you can make further edits to the form. button to open the
- If prompted by Sage Payroll Tax Forms and eFiling by Aatrix to update your forms, follow the prompts.
Note: If you are viewing a report for the first time this year, you may be required to complete the Sage Payroll Tax Forms and eFiling by Aatrix Company Wizard, a window for you to confirm or enter your default company information for the tax forms.
- Click or on the form window and chose your print or file destination.
- When you are finished, click .
