Examples of Optional Fields

In the Optional Fields For field, select the type of record or transaction for which you are defining the optional field. The following table lists the choices, and describes where you will be able to view and assign them after this setup.

Optional fields defined for Transactions, Transaction Earnings/Deductions, Transaction Taxes, Transaction PJC Details (if your useSage 300 Project and Job Costing), and Payroll Processing, are passed to General Ledger, if set up properly.

Pay tab of the Payroll Employees window. These optional fields apply to the employee’s earnings or deductions only.

Taxes tab of the Payroll Employeeswindow. These optional fields apply to the employee’s taxes only.
