Use the Budget.xls Macro to Create a Budget Worksheet

Budget.xls is an Excel spreadsheet that includes a macro to extract budget information from General Ledger for review and editing. It also lets you export updated budgets to General Ledger.

You can run the Budget.xls macro from within Excel, or you can add a program icon to your company desktop to start the macro from Sage 300.

To run the budget macro:

  1. From Excel, open Budget.xls.

    The default folder is C:\Sage\Sage300\Macros.

  2. In the Budget spreadsheet, click the Retrieve Budget button to bring in budgets from the General Ledger program.
  3. After reviewing the budgets, you can make changes in Column I "New Budgets."
  4. To export new budget amounts to General Ledger, click the Export Budget button.
