Add a Shortcut for an Excel Macro to Your Desktop
To add an Excel macro to your Sage 300 desktop:
- On the company desktop, select the program folder where you want to add the macro (for example, General Ledger).
- Click Object > New > Program.
- Type a title for the macro (for example, Budget).
- Click the Next button.
- In the Command field, enter the location and name of the Excel program — for example:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\Excel.exe
Note: For the command and the argument, if any of the folder names contain spaces, enclose the entire path in quotation marks.
- In the Argument field, enter the location and name of the macro file — for example:
C:\Sage\Sage300\Macros\Budget.xls
- Enter the working directory — for example:
C:\Sage\Sage300\Runtime
- Click Finish.
An icon for the macro appears in the program folder you selected in step 1.
