Add a Shortcut for an Excel Macro to Your Desktop

To add an Excel macro to your Sage 300 desktop:

  1. On the company desktop, select the program folder where you want to add the macro (for example, General Ledger).
  2. Click Object > New > Program.
  3. Type a title for the macro (for example, Budget).
  4. Click the Next button.
  5. In the Command field, enter the location and name of the Excel program — for example:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\Excel.exe

    Note: For the command and the argument, if any of the folder names contain spaces, enclose the entire path in quotation marks.

  6. In the Argument field, enter the location and name of the macro file — for example:

    C:\Sage\Sage300\Macros\Budget.xls

  7. Enter the working directory — for example:

    C:\Sage\Sage300\Runtime

  8. Click Finish.

    An icon for the macro appears in the program folder you selected in step 1.
