About Customization Directories

If you change a sample report to suit the requirements of your own business, it can be saved so that is always available. You save it in a customization directory, within the Sage 300 program folders (directories).

Note: To use custom reports in Sage 300cloud Web Screens, the Sage 300 application pool’s identity account in IIS Manager must have Read and Execute access rights to Customization directory.

If your version of Sage 300 supports customization directories, you can:

  • Specify where your users' customization directories are to be located.
  • Delete customization directories you no longer need.

Note: Only the system administrator can specify customization directories for users.

When a user prints a report, the system checks if there is a customization directory that uses:

  1. The user ID and company name for the current session.
  2. The company name for the current session and any ( * ) user.
  3. The user ID and any ( * ) company.
  4. Any (*) user and any (*) company.

If the report is located in a customization directory, it is printed. Otherwise, the standard report, located in the default location for Sage 300, is printed.
