If you regularly use particular carriers or shipping methods when receiving items into stock, you can set up a code to identify each method. You then type the code on purchase orders, instead of typing in the information each time.
In the record for each ship-via code, you can type the name, address, and phone numbers of the carrier, as well as the name of a contact person or position to call if there is a problem with a delivery. You can also enter a comment of up to 80 characters.
You do not have to use ship-via codes. Instead, you can type a description of the shipping method, using up to 60 characters, on each transaction you enter. You can also omit shipping information from transactions altogether.
To add ship-via records, choose the Ship-Via screen from the Setup folder.
