Restore Defaults (Object menu - Desktop)
Use this dialog box to remove all personal settings for the currently selected object.
To reach the dialog box:
- Highlight the item on the company desktop that you want to restore defaults for, then choose Restore Defaults from the Object menu, or right-click the icon on the desktop, then choose Properties.
-
In the dialog box, if you select:
- Print Settings—the printer and paper source you selected for this particular object are cleared. The next time you print using this object, the Sage 300 desktop printer and paper source will be used. However, the report orientation and paper size you selected for the object are not cleared.
- Finder Criteria—any selection criteria you set up and saved for all Finders (and Next/Previous commands) for this object are cleared.
- All Other Settings—any other changes you made to this object's Finders or data-entry windows are cleared, including ranges in print windows and revised column widths, changed column positions, and hidden columns in data entry windows and Finders.
- Customization—if you used the Customize screen to create a working profile that restricts a user from accessing fields and buttons in a screen, choosing this option will clear that customization and allow the user access to those features.
- When you have finished, choose OK to save your settings. The settings are saved with your user ID, not with the company ID.
Note: Restore Defaults does not restore the Item Properties on the desktop (which include the icon name, whether to start the Finder first, and whether you can start multiple copies).
