Incorrect version of SQL Server Client Engine or SQL Server

Use DBSpy to monitor all calls and messages that pass between Sage 300 and SQL Server databases.

The database and database driver version numbers are listed in the DBSpy window when Sage 300 opens the database.

You should also check the Windows NT Application Log using the Event Viewer on the server where SQL Server is running.
