Segment Name
Select the segment for which you want to add valid segment codes.
Table
Description
Enter a description or name for each segment code you add.
Segment Code
Enter each code that is valid for the selected segment.
Segment codes can be neither longer nor shorter than the length of the segment for which they will be used.
Overview
You use the I/C Segment Codes screen to:
- Add valid segment codes to a table so Inventory Control will verify the item number segments when adding new items.
You can add segment codes for any segment you have added to the I/C Options screen. Use the Items tab in the I/C Options screen to turn on and off the option to use segment codes for individual segments.
Note: Adding segment codes is optional, as is using them once you have entered them.
