Creating Actions to Show or Hide Elements
Learn more
For any element in a process flow, you can create an 'action' to specify that when the element is clicked, other elements in the process flow will be shown or hidden.
To create an action:
- On the toolbar (near the top left of the Visual Process Flow Designer), click the actions
tool.
Identifying numbers are displayed for elements in the process flow, and a screen appears that you use to set up actions.
- On a blank line, specify settings for the action:
- In the Type field, select an action type:
- show_hide. Clicking the trigger element shows or hides the target element.
- show. Clicking the trigger element shows the target element.
- hide. Clicking the trigger element hides the target element.
- In the Trigger field, enter the number of one or more elements that will trigger the action.
Note: When entering multiple elements, separate the element numbers with a comma (for example: 23,24,25).
- In the Target field, enter the number of one or more target elements.
- In the Type field, select an action type:
- Click OK.
