Managing Vendor Details

Note: You maintain vendor details in Purchase Orders only if you do not use Inventory Control).

You can edit or delete vendor details at any time. The changes have no effect on current transactions. You will see the changes the next time you select the item in a new transaction.

Tip: You can change any of the details for a vendor except the vendor’s currency, if the vendor is set up in Accounts Payable.

To edit vendor detail records:

  1. Open Purchase Orders > P/O Setup > Vendor Details.
  2. Type the item number for the record you want to edit, use the Finder to choose an item from the list, or use the navigation buttons to move through the list.
  3. Make the changes you need.
  4. When finished, click Save.

To delete vendor detail records:

  1. Open Purchase Orders > P/O Setup > Vendor Details.
  2. Type an item number in the Item Number field, use the Finder to choose an item from the list, or use the navigation buttons to move through the list of items.
  3. Select a vendor record from the list of vendors.
  4. Click Delete.
  5. Click Yes if you are asked to confirm the deletion.
