About Serial and Lot Costing Methods

The Serial and Lot costing methods are available only if you have a license to use Serialized Inventory and Lot Tracking.

Inventory Control calculates the cost of received items that use the Serial or Lot costing method, as follows:

Note: For items that use the Serial costing method or the Lot costing method, the serial quantity and lot quantity must always be the same as the entry quantity in transactions. You cannot select the options Allow Serial Quantity To Be Different From The Quantity In The Entries or Allow Lot Quantity To Be Different From The Quantity In The Entries .
