Lotted inventory items may be placed on quarantine if they have defects that must be resolved before the items are sold, or if you must provide paperwork and/or duties to customs authorities before the items can be used. Once the issues have been resolved, you can release the lots from quarantine.
You must release the total quantity in a quarantined lot, or no quantity.
Before you start
Find out the number of the lot you want to release, or the number of the item that is included in the lot.
To release lots from quarantine:
- Inventory Control > I/C Periodic Processing > Quarantine Release.
- Use the From and To fields to release lots or items from quarantine, as follows:
- Specify a range of lot numbers to release all items in that range of lots.
- Specify a range of item numbers to release all quarantined lots for that range of items.
- In the As at field, specify the effective date of release if you do not want to use the session date.
- Click Process to release the specified lots or items from quarantine.
