- Accounts Payable > A/P Transactions > Payment Entry.
- Use the Batch Number field to select an existing batch, or click the Create New Batch button to create a new batch.
- Enter a payment, as usual. In the Transaction Type field, select Payment or Apply Document.
- In the detail table, apply the payment to an invoice, click the Tax Withheld field for the invoice, and then click the Edit icon
that appears in the field.
Overview
When applying a payment to an invoice for which tax must be withheld, use the A/P Detail Tax Withheld screen to view the tax withheld for the invoice. If taxes must be remitted to multiple tax authorities for the invoice, the tax withheld amount is shown for each tax authority. On this screen, you can change tax withheld amounts.
