O/E Kitting Components Screen

Displays the item number for a component.

Displays the unit of measure used for the unit cost of a component.

Displays the description for a component.

Displays the extended weight, which is the quantity shipped multiplied by the unit weight.

This field appears only if you open the Kitting Components screen from the Invoice Entry screen, and displays the unit of measure used for stocking a component.

Displays the quantity of a component included in the kit.

For a component that is a non-stock item, this field displays the non-stock clearing account used by the item's account set.

This field appears only if you open the Kitting Components screen from the Order Entry screen, and displays the unit of measure used for stocking a component.

Displays the inventory quantity that is available for sale to your customers. This is determined by the quantity on hand less the quantity committed, as maintained in Inventory Control.

Displays the inventory quantity that is committed to orders.

By committing an inventory quantity to an order, you ensure that the required inventory will be available when it is time to ship the order. (If a quantity is already committed to an order, you cannot ship another order for the same items unless there is a sufficient quantity in inventory in addition to the committed quantity.)

Tip: You can click the Edit icon to the right of the displayed quantities to view more information (such as the customer and the expected ship date).

This field appears only if you open the Kitting Components screen from the Invoice Entry screen, and displays the quantity of a component included in the invoice (calculated based on the number of kits invoiced).

Displays the inventory quantity currently on hand, as maintained in Inventory Control.

Displays the inventory quantity that you have ordered.

This field appears only if you open the Kitting Components screen from the Order Entry screen, and displays the quantity of a component included in the order (calculated based on the number of kits ordered).

This field appears only if you open the Kitting Components screen from the Shipment Entry screen, and displays the quantity of a component included in the shipment (calculated based on the number of kits shipped).

This field appears only if you open the Kitting Components screen from the Shipment Entry screen, and displays the unit of measure used for stocking a component.

Displays the unit cost of a component.

Note: You can change the unit cost for a component if it uses a user-specified costing method.

Displays the weight of a component.

Displays the unit of measure used for weighing a component.

Displays a description of the unit of measure used for weighing a component.
