Promoting a Quote to an Order

You can use the O/E Order Entry screen to promote a quote to an active, standing, or future order.

For more information about order types, see Order Types.

Note: A quote does not affect quantities on sales orders until you set its order type to Active.

To promote a quote to an order:

1. Open Order Entry > O/E Transactions > Order Entry.
2. In the Order Number field, specify the quote number.
3. On the Order tab, select Active from the Order Type list.

4. Edit other fields on the quote as needed to update general information and details for the order.

5. Click Post.
