Administrative Services Security Authorizations

A security group defines a set of security authorizations for users assigned to that security group.

Security authorizations relate to specific tasks, so assigning a user to a security group allows the user to perform the tasks defined for the group. The system administrator creates each security group, selecting the tasks for individual applications in your system.

Security groups are system-wide, and the same user can be assigned to different security groups for different applications.
