Running a Macro

Use the Run Macro dialog box to select a macro to run. If you are creating a macro that updates your database, test the macro first with a copy of your accounting data. See Making a copy of accounting data.

You can record, edit and run VBA macros from the Sage 300 desktop.

To run a VBA macro

  1. On the company desktop, on the Macro menu, click Run.
  2. In the Run Macro dialog box that appears, type the path to the macro. If you cannot remember the name or location of the macro, search existing files by drive, folder, file name, and extension.
  3. Click OK.

When the macro finishes running, it appears in the Microsoft Visual Basic Editor.
