Software requirements

To connect to Sage 300, your computer must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • A supported version of Windows.

    For a list of supported versions of Windows, see the most recent version of the Sage 300 Compatibility Guide, which you can get from the Sage Knowledgebase.

  • One of the following browsers:
    • Internet Explorer 11
    • Chrome
    • Firefox
    • Edge
    • Safari
    • Opera

    Note: To run applications in Windows Mode, you must use Internet Explorer or Edge Chromium. Other browsers are supported only for Browser Mode. For more information about these modes, see Sage 300 home page.

  • To run applications in Windows Mode, you also need:
    • Remote Desktop 8.0
    • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Web Access add-on

      Important! When logging in to Sage 300 for the first time, you must allow the Remote Desktop add-on. For more information, see Logging in for the first time.

Database size

Sage 300 is designed to work with databases of a set size, specified by your Sage business partner. Using a database that is larger than this size may negatively affect the performance of Sage 300, and could prevent you from backing up and restoring your data. To find out the database size limit for your system, contact your Sage business partner.
