About the Sage 300 Desktop
The Sage 300 desktop appears when you open your company database.
- A ribbon at the top shows frequently used commands.
- The left pane shows folders that contain all the accounting and maintenance programs you use.
- The right pane shows the tasks and subfolders that a selected folder contains.
Note: If you have not created a company database, both panes will be blank.
From the desktop, you can:
- Start programs and services by double-clicking icons for programs or services or by selecting them with the Tab and arrow keys and then pressing Enter. (You can get help for a specific program or service by opening the item, and then pressing F1.)
- Set up your own workspace containing the programs you use often, and make choices for your window display and print settings. (See Customizing the desktop.)
- Record and run macros to automate tasks. (See Creating a macro.)
