Setting Up Order Entry

On the Documents tab of the O/E Options screen, you can set up default aging periods that determine how outstanding orders are grouped on the O/E Aged Orders report.

Orders are aged into four periods: a current period and three aging periods for billing purposes. You can specify aging periods to correspond with the periods you use to age transactions.

Example: You might set the aging periods to 7, 14, and 21 days to see how many orders are filled within one, two, three, or more weeks of the current period.

When you are ready to print the O/E Aged Orders report, you can change the periods for the report without changing the default settings. Order Entry determines the aging category to which each order belongs by comparing the order date with the Age As Of date you specify on the report.
