Viewing a List of Fields You Can Import and Export

You can transfer records from another accounts receivable system into Sage 300 Accounts Receivable.

To import account information or transactions:

  1. Create or locate the file you want to import.
  2. Open the Accounts Receivable screen in which you maintain the data you want to import.

    For example, to import customer accounts, open the A/R Customers screen.

  3. Click Options > Import.
  4. If the File Import/Export Selection screen appears, select the type of data to import, and then click OK.

    Example: When you import customer groups, you use the File Import/Export Selection screen to specify Group Information or Group Statistics.

  5. On the Import screen that appears:

    1. In the File Type field, specify the format of the data you are importing.
    2. Specify whether to insert new records, update existing records, or insert and update records.
    3. In the File Location field, specify the name and location of the import file.
    4. If the Load Script option is available and you previously created an import template that matches the information you want to import, click Load Script, and then select the template file.
    5. Choose the fields that you want to import, and select from any other options that appear.
  6. Click Import to begin importing.
